Bloukrans Bridge Bungee
One, two, bungee! By the time you leap off the Bloukrans Bridge to plunge – in total safety – into the gorge below, you’ll already be buzzing from your zip-slide onto the bridge. As far as adrenaline rushes go, you don’t get much better than the Bloukrans Bridge Zipline and Bungee – and the beautiful surroundings don’t hurt either.

The Bloukrans Bridge, at 216m, is the highest commercial bridge bungee jump in the world and attracts adventure seekers from all over the globe; especially now that a zip-slide to the bungee platform is also an option. The bridge, found on the scenic Garden Route through Western Cape and Eastern Cape, offers one of the most spectacular bungee jump settings in South Africa, if not the world.

This slick, professional adventure operation is run by Face Adrenalin, a member of the Southern Africa Tourism Association. These specialists in South African bungee jumping and zip slides put safety first, with all equipment conforming to international standards and highly trained and experienced staff ensuring that you enjoy the slide and jump of a lifetime.

The thrilling 200m Flying Fox zip slide (known as a foefie slide in South Africa) to the bungee platform is the latest addition to the bridge’s attractions. Face Adrenalin offers a bridge walk too, plus sandboarding and boat trips along the river; the company also runs abseiling and canyon zip-slide tours near Plettenberg Bay.

The Bloukrans Bridge is the largest single-span concrete arch bridge in the world. The bridge walk takes you along a specially designed catwalk to the top of the arch, where you can look out over the gorge to the mountains and the sea in the distance.
